Platform – Calling all young carers in the borough of Hounslow

We are happy to announce our special new outreach programme called ‘Platform’.

Platform is designed to enable specific groups to create a theatre show which highlights their own stories and experiences in the hope to inspire and inform others.

For the 2017 season we are being funded by Hounslow Council and we will be specifically working with young carers in and around Hounslow.

For the first part of the project, we will be at Lampton School (Lampton Avenue, Hounslow, TW3 4EP) for 3 sessions, Thursday 6th, 13th and 20th July from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. The aim of these 3 exciting sessions is for the young people to get involved in fun games, learn new skills and begin creating a story for their very own theatre show.

Then we will be at Hounslow Arts Centre (previously known as the Paul Robeson Theatre) from Monday 24th to Friday 28th: 10:30AM – 3:30PM, this amazing week is geared towards developing stories, working on a script and rehearsing. Show day will be Saturday 29th show day: 12PM – 6PM (Show at 4PM).

The project is aimed at children aged 10 – 16 and is completely FREE!
