Three Buttons & a Goldfish 2018 & 2019

In January 2018 Feltham Arts received a two year grant of £64,200 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the Feltham, Bedfont and Hanworth heritage performance, exhibition and interactive workshop package and annual Feltham History Day project.

Thanks to money raised by National Lottery players, the project preserved the area’s heritage for future generations, and brought the community together to celebrate their past. The project took place at The Hub in The Centre, Feltham next to Feltham Library, Archives and Local Studies. During the primary schools visitors’ programme in September 2018 and 2019 we welcomed over 2000 children, followed 1000 members of the public at the two Feltham History Day’s held in November of each year.

Our role was to research the vast history to create and perform a show that marked the centenary of the opening of Hanworth Air Park in 1917, as well as creatively explore the history of the people, communities and events connected with the West Area of Hounslow between 1917 and 1947. The show was incredibly fun to make and perform, seeing our audience light up and learn so much about their local area made it even better.

We’ve enjoyed working with Feltham Arts as always and we will continue to work together to engage the community with high quality art.
