‘On Hold’ is a take on the housing crisis from the viewpoint of families living in temporary accommodation.
We are returning to The Place Theatre, Bedford with ‘On Hold’ to mark homelessness awareness week with the Bedford Homeless Partnership.
This intimate show is performed in the round and combines personal accounts from the cast with verbatim testimony from families living in temporary accommodation. These are broken up by moments of clowning & surrealism, echoing the ridiculous hoops families must go through as they have their lives put on hold.
This darkly comic play lifts the lid on what it means not to have a home to call your own. It reveals the human truth behind the statistics of the housing crisis.
We are performing at The Place Theatre, Bedford on Monday 2nd December 2019 @ 7:30pm with doors opening @ 7:15pm
